The City of Madison allows for large item collection on a monthly basis. Set large items out on the appropriate city trash day, click here to learn more.

Large items are items considered too large to fit into the refuse cart. This includes appliances (please recycle these responsibly- not in the receptacles provided by Stonebridge Condominiums), pianos, furniture, carpets, bicycles, mattresses and box springs, etc.

Large items are not oversized cardboard boxes or extra household trash that cannot fit into an overstuffed refuse cart.

Certain appliances and other large items require a recycling fee sticker. Do not place televisions, computers, or computer peripherals (like printers) at the curb as a large item. They are banned from curbside collection and must be taken to a drop-off site.

Large items should be stacked neatly on road edge- not too close to driveways. Place large items on either Melody or Independence Lane (Outside of Stonebridge community) The more organized the piles, the faster and safer crews can work. Items out late or inaccessible will not be collected and are the owners responsibility to remove from the curb.
